A while ago I was contacted by LEVO audio to fill out a sponsorship form, which I did. I was approved and super excited! My first sponsored post! Yay!
I ordered my products about two weeks later and received them in the mail, two weeks later.
The wait was long and with much anticipation. I am a huge lover of music and my earphones need to be bassy, loud, clear, and noise reducing. I was excited to give these babies a listen!
When I opened the box, I was let down a bit. There was no separation, no protection, no bubble wrap, no foam…nothing. Just the products and the box.
This is exactly how they came. I still had my hopes up and was excited for them so I tried them immediately. I tried the Active Headphones first, turned them on and set up the bluetooth (which didn’t work, with any of my devices honestly), then used the cord and finally got some sound. I was disappointed by this point. The sound isn’t awful but definitely not worth $125 either.
Now I don’t want this post to be a bashing post, because there are some good things about LEVO audio that I love.
The aesthetic is amazing, I love the colors, the look, the feel. It’s definitely got potential to be great and just as big as Beats by Dre. The headphones are a good fit and I have a big head, I didn’t have a problem wearing them at all. They fit comfortably around my ears and they are light. Not heavy at all.
But that’s where the loves end, unfortunately.
Onto the earbuds, as you can see in the pictures, they came opened and a little sporadic. I tried those next, and well. The cord came defective, or the sound quality was just that bad.
The headphones, I gave to my brother to see how he felt about them. His opinion is the same as mine. He was highly disappointed in the sound quality. Another thing I want to point out, the headphones snapped in half, yes. They broke within a week.
If you’re a fan of Beats by Dre, I wouldn’t recommend these. If you’re a fan of Skull Candy, I still wouldn’t recommend these. Honestly, the $10 earbuds I buy from Wal-Mart are 10x better than these and I’m really disappointed about that. Again, it could just be MY experience, seeing as mine came defective (haven’t been offered a refund yet) so that might be the only issue. If you have these earbuds and/or headphones and you have a different story, please share it because my experience just wasn’t the best and I do see a lot of potential for the brand!
