I used to be so against traveling on big holidays such as Christmas and Easter. However, I’m due to a great vacation so my mind is opening to the idea. I was daydreaming earlier about where I would go for Easter if I decided to go on vacation. The idea is great but would I want to be somewhere where I could still celebrate the holiday? Would I want to go by myself or with family and friends? Somewhere cold? Somewhere hot? All these questions came to me as I prepared my dream destinations for Easter.

Have you ever used Groupon for travel ideas? I’m sure some of you have. I love looking at Groupon and Pinterest to find ideas for where I should travel. Those sites are getting used again for this because I truly have no idea where to travel for Easter!
Since Easter is during the spring, I’m taking weather into heavy consideration for my dream destinations for Easter. What other things would you take into consideration when traveling for Easter?
Dream destinations for Easter!
I saw this on Pinterest and thought “duh!” Why wouldn’t I want to visit Easter Island for Easter, at least once in my lifetime?? It’s rich with cultural history and those unique statues as well! From research on NatGeo, the weather at Rapa Nui (Easter Island), is best January to March with the lowest temperature averaging 57ºF. However, weather is average around 70ºF year round so it would be perfect for Easter!
Another Pinterest pick! I saw this beautiful photo of water and immediately Googled Finger Lakes. It’s located right in New York! The place was founded in 1919 so there’s plenty of history here as well. The most beautiful thing about this place is the water and nature! Over 9,000 square miles of multiple things to do. You can find at least 135 museums, golf courses, 14 professional theatre companies, 1,063 waterfalls and gorges, fairs and festivals every week and so much more!
Considering this is in New York, I would be cautious of the weather. One of my goals is to visit New York while it’s cold and snowing so this doesn’t worry me!
This has been a goal for a long time. I would actually love to rent a home for the week and have Easter dinner out there! The weather averages about 55ºF to 80ºF during the month of April so that’s a plus. Groupon has a deal to explore Morocco for $1,399. The deal includes stops at 4 locations including Marrakesh!
Where would you travel if you won a free trip for Easter? Does Easter dinner and traditions matter when traveling?
