Happy Wednesday! This post is going to be very straight to the point today. We are all busy getting our lives together so I won’t be talking a bunch of nonsense to build up for the point of this post. Which is my 2018 beauty review! Basically, I’m sharing my favorite beauty and skincare products that I tried and used in 2018. Most of these products are great for the current dry winter and harsh winds going on. Let’s get to it!
Happy Friday!! What are your plans for today? It’s the first Friday of 2019 so I’m taking it easy today. This whole week has been really amazing for me. So far, I have been crushing my goals consistently. Everything hasn’t been perfect, but things have been prosperous. I’m so thankful for that! Last year was eventual to say the least, so I wanted to talk about my 2018 favorite moments.
Happy New Year!!! 2019 came so fast and everybody is claiming it to be their year of prosperity, self-growth, and a positive journey! What are you claiming 2019 to be ? Are you excited for this year? Are you glad that 2018 is over? I know I am! A New year brings new opportunities, new experiences, and a new you! I thought it was only fitting to write about being the best you that you can be this year and we’re starting with Loreal’s Total Repair Deep Conditioner!
2019 is 4 days away and we all know what that means for most of the world: New Year’s Resolutions. This year, I suggest we do promises. We hold promises more dear to our values so I felt that was more fitting. If you don’t like the idea of a promise or it gives you too much pressure, we can call them goals.
On New Year’s Eve, you would expect dresses to be the most worn item. While it’s true for the parties inside the clubs, the biggest party is right outside on Las Vegas BLVD. Every year I notice women are bundled up in sweaters and coats. Why? Because it gets really damn cold out here! So I thought it would be a fun idea to show you how you could rock a sweater for New Year’s Eve!
Holiday Gift Guide for the Sophisticated Woman
Can you believe Christmas is two weeks away!? Neither can I. I feel like I’ve been saying this since October but it came so fast. How are you doing with your Christmas shopping? Done yet? Me neither.
If you are like me and have waited until December to start Christmas shopping, I partnered with Ann Taylor to create a gift guide for you! This guide is for the sophisticated woman(it could be you! A gift to yourself never hurts).
A few days ago I watched a TedX talk by Cece Olisa. She talked about her life through school, of wanting to be on Broadway, acting and sharing her life with the world and how she was told no because of her body. How she had all the confidence in the world as a child and that confidence was shattered by one teacher she looked up to. She also listed 4 ways to gain confidence. You can watch the video down below at the end of this post to hear her story.
Right now, I want to share my story of confidence. My confidence is…shaky. Most days are bright and planned out. Some days are adventurous and enlightening. Rare days are dark and gloomy; unsure, unknown, unaware.
I wish I could eliminate those rare days but they are a part of life. It’s something I can’t get rid of no matter how hard I try so how do I deal with them?
I try my best to find the reason I’m having a bad day or I let them come as they are. I accept them and wait until my mood picks up so that I can move on.
2018 is coming to a close in such a short amount of time. With the new year coming, it’s expected for about 1.6 million new blogs to be created. This means about 1.6 million people will be purchasing self-hosted blogs through one of the many self-hosting platforms out there.
I’m going to link you to a few posts I’ve done recently on being a self-hosted blog and recommend my favorite host (Here’s a hint: it’s in the title of this blog). This blog won’t be long because this deal is time sensitive and will only last for cyber Monday.
Can you believe Black Friday is next week? I can’t either! We have 47 days left of 2018 and the new year is already exciting me for what’s to come! One of the biggest days in the ending of the year is Black Friday.
I was challenged to share my mission statement behind this blog to the world of IG thanks to Style Collectives’ Visibility Challenge. I shared the story behind my mission and I got so many genuine comments of people relating to me! Of course, I was aware there were other people out there like me, but I was shocked at how many introverts are bloggers!
One of those blogging introverts, Rosey from Rosey Everyday, contacted me for a collaboration and we teamed up to give you 5 misconceptions about Introverts! Make sure to head over to her blog for her post!
